Why is Bedpage not working? That’s a question I’ll answer in this piece. I’ll not only discuss why it’s not working, but also include solutions to get Bedpage working again.
It’s possible that Bedpage is working for everyone else, and is just down for you. It’s also possible that the site is entirely down for mother Earth.
Well, in either case, this article discusses all the scenarios and possible fixes.

Why is Bedpage not working (is it truly not working)?
The very first thing you need to check is the online status of Bedpage. Is Bedpage not working only for you, or for everyone else?
But, how do you check that? There obviously are a few different ways for that.
The easiest option is simply to try to access Bedpage from a different device. It may be that your device specifically is unable to access Bedpage.
If that doesn’t work, try using a different network, either on your own device, or a new one.
Finally, the more official method of checking this is going to IsItDownRightNow.com
It’s a simple website which tells you is Bedpage down just for you, or for the entire world.
You go there, enter www.bedpage.com in the search bar and it gives you something like this:
Along with its current status, you also get information about when the website was last down.
If Bedpage is indeed online and not accessible by you, you have a problem that needs fixing. I’ll show how.
The server may truly be down
Bedpage receives over 10 million hits as I’ve shown while answering the Is Bedpage real question.
Hence, it’s possible that the servers are truly down. This happens when there’s a massive traffic influx, more than the servers can handle.
You’d know this is the case if the above test shows that Bedpage is not working globally.
In that case, there’s nothing you can do. You’ll have to wait a few minutes (or very rarely hours). Once the traffic dies out (or Bedpage upgrades their servers) the website starts working again.
Clear your browser cache
If Bedpage is online for everyone else, let’s fix it for you.
This is the simplest, easiest and most straightforward fix. I’m starting here as it doesn’t require any additional tools or many steps.
At times, it may be your browser cache causing problems. The best solution for that is simply deleting your browser cache.
The process differs depending on the browser. However, in most cases, you will find (or can search for) a “cache” option/tab/button. Basically, delete your cache and cookies.
You can also try switching your browser completely. This is a more hardcore approach but it may work sometimes.
If Bedpage is working for others, and you’ve cleared your cache and it’s still not working for you, try a different browser.
Bedpage is blocked in many countries/regions
Bedpage for political, social or just stupid reasons is blocked in many countries and regions/
Hence, if you’re trying to access Bedpage from one such country, it would seem as if it’s offline to you.
The bad news is, there’s no special indication that this is happening. The site often would react simply as if it’s offline.
There certainly is an easy fix for that.
Get a VPN.
A VPN is basically a software that hides your IP address. Your IP address is the link between your computer, and the internet.
Your IP address is used to determine your location. Hence, once it’s changed, Bedpage becomes available to you because your location changes (virtually).
With the VPN, you can choose any country you want. In a single click, your IP address is replaced with another IP address from your chosen country.
The less technical side
So far, we’ve tried solving all the “technical” reasons which may cause Bedpage to not work.
You may be asking why Bedpage is not working in the sense that it doesn’t show you listings in most categories.
It’s common for a lot of states to not have listings across most categories.
This is primarily because most categories aren’t very profitable or in demand. Just because a category exists on Bedpage, doesn’t mean people will be posting ads in it.
E.g. “Mining, resources and energy” is a listed category. However, I doubt a lot of people are into these industries. Those who are definitely have better client/customer sources than Bedpage.
If you must find a product/service in a specific category, I recommend browsing your neighbouring states. The distance wouldn’t be much and chances are some of those states may actually have items listed.
Or, it’s best to try the biggest states in your country. These states generally have listings in most if not all the categories.
Is Bedpage shut down?
As of 3rd January, 2023, Bedpage isn’t shut down. The same can also be confirmed using the “IsItReallyDown.com” test I mentioned earlier.

Final words- Why is Bedpage not working?
So, that’s about it. In most cases, employing the VPN should solve your problems. The only time it won’t work is if the problem is on Bedpage’s side or with your browsers.
Before I sign off, here’s some advise. Once you do get Bedpage working, be careful. It may have dozens of fake and/or illegal listings. You may lose money or worse by not doing your due diligence.
