It doesn’t offer you any filter to sort movies. If you are wondering then why it is first choice. It has been active for last two years meanwhile many movie sites like Alluc have come and gone.
Even if it doesn’t redirect you any spam website when you click on play button. Yes, it seems safe as compared to other free Alluc alternatives.
It has a huge collection of movies and TV series (from new to old) in its library. And its media collection is updated often.

The video players at YesMovies are impressive as well. You’ll often get a list of servers, at least 3 are available for most content. This lets you switch servers if one of them isn’t working.
You can’t upgrade/downgrade the video quality. But, it often hosts in-built subtitles in English. You do get to change the font, colour and other formatting for the subtitles.
4. UpMovies (formerly 5Movies)

5Movies was an established alternative to Alluc and they recently rebranded themselves to UpMovies.
So, the website has a very impressive user-interface. Feels like a professional OTT platform rather than a free movie streaming site.
Multiple ways to find your movies. Either use the search-bar or choose one of the filters. The filters let you find movies based on genre, country, year etc. You scroll down and you see an automated scrolling list of “new releases”. On the right, you’ll see a “recommended movies” list. And finally, the entire homepage is littered with hundreds of movie thumbnails you may like.
If you hover over the movie thumbnails, you’ll get a synopsis, as well as a country and genre. The quality of the movie is labelled on the thumbnail as well.
When watching a series, it neatly organises all the episodes. I’ve seen it offer 40+ servers! That’s just unprecedented. Quality control, subtitles and other video-control features are available depending on which server you use.
5. PutLocker

I doubt PutLocker even needs an introduction. It’s one of the earliest names that came up allowing free streaming of movies.
The homepage is similar to YesMovies. A search-bar greets you at the homepage. You can use this to find your movies, or click the filters at the top-bar.
The filters are a bit more extensive and you can search using an alphabetic A-Z list, on top of country/genre/release year/ top IMDb etc.
I like the thumbnails because they tell me the movie’s quality right there. Hovering over the thumbnails brings up release year, duration, a synopsis etc. This guarantees you click on the right movie and not a sequel/prequel or spinoff.
It’s not as server-rich as UpMovies but you’ll generally find 1+ servers for content. Quality control isn’t common, however, in-built English subtitles are. TV series are well organised with a list of seasons/episodes so you don’t’ waste your time hunting the next episode.
6. Fmovies

If you’ve been through this list, the UI will seem familiar. The same search-bar at the centre and filters at the top-bar are used.
Again, either type the exact name of the movie, or click on a genre/country to bring up content related to your selection.
The thumbnails are acceptable but not impressive. Acceptable because they display the movie’s quality, without it you’ll waste hours clicking on a movie only to find it’s 144P! Not impressive because hovering over them doesn’t bring up any additional information. Yes the movie pages have detailed information on movies but I doubt you care, do you?
Fortunately though, most content is at least HD (720P) or higher. I’ve also never seen Fmovies offer less than 3 servers for its movies/series. On at least one of these servers (often server #2), you’re likely to find quality control. This helps you save bandwidth or reduce buffers if you’re on a limited connection. In-built subtitles are available on nearly all the servers.
