You create a digital version of you, that looks and talks like you. Officially, Rili calls these digital versions “metahumans”. Yes, your voice is cloned as well. Everything is lip-synced so it’s almost as flawless as you can imagine at the moment.
As for the data, preference and personality, the AI has to be trained by you using messages or audio input. Once trained, your metahuman can output content in over 100 languages!
In a nutshell, you can be available to all your friends (or girlfriends) at the same time, talking on the most intellectual topics while the physical you do whatever it is you like doing in the real world.
Let’s start with the name? “Rili” may not make a lot of sense. But, the founders, Antonio Camacho and Jorge Cuervo hail from Spain. So, “Rili” is how “really” is written in spanish. The domain, “Rili.ai”, when spoken sounds like “Rili I”? With the Spanish context, it’s now “Really, I”. I suppose the name and the company’s USP has begun to make more sense now, hasn’t it?
Rili can also be integrated with your existing social media platforms which makes training your digital clone easier.
The company says it focuses more on deeper and more meaningful conversions. Its “Themed conversations” is a feature that facilitates these goals. It basically allows users to connect with other users who share their interests and topics directly.
It pays a lot of attention to the consumer/creator differentiation. In fact, when signing up, you’ve got to select if you’re a user (consumer) or a creator.
Currently, they soft launched themselves in USA, India, Japan, Philippines, Mexico, Brazil and Indonesia.
The official apps are available for Android and iOS. Although, you’d have to “join the waitlist” in order to access the platform.
Rili also has “infinite memory”. Meaning, all of your conversations, interactions and experiences get preserved forever. You may get an optional delete feature though.
Due to its very unique approach and AI integration, the ads you run, or see on Rili will be very different from traditional ads as well. As per the platform, these will be way more personal, relatable and just more valuable than a random “buy this product” banner.
