ResumeGiants Review: What is ResumeGiants?
As the name suggests, it’s a resume maker.
ResumeGiants has pre-designed templates. You simply choose a template, enter your information and done! In fact, it uses your information for all future resumes which lets you create dozens of different resumes in minutes.
It also offers pre-crafted descriptions, cover letter text and even improvements for the photo on your resume.
Finally, it has an in-built job search feature.
Let’s get started then?
User-interface
I wouldn’t take up much time here. Just know that ResumeGiants probably offers the simplest interface I’ve ever seen as far as resume makers go.
This is the dashboard you see once you login:
I doubt this needs any explanation. You can choose from “Dashboard” or “Jobs” at the very top. Clicking on “Jobs” takes you to a job-search feature that I’ve discussed in detail in later parts on this ResumeGiants review.
Below that you simple choose what you wish to create, you can either create Resumes or Cover letters.
Let’s get you the details then?
Resume in seconds (literally)
If I’m being honest, I’ve not written a lot of resumes. However, out of about 6 platforms I’ve tried personally, ResumeGiants literally felt the easiest, smoothest and most seamless.
Hey, don’t take my word for it, let me show you?
I was asked to fill a very simple form. It included my name ,address, contact number and a photo.
This data is then auto-filled on my resumes eliminating the need for me to type it separately each time.
What impressed me (in the first 10 seconds) was its photo A.I. I uploaded a random photo and it came up with a bunch of suggestions and feedback.
Similar help is provided when writing the “description” for the resume. This is basically where I’m supposed to share events, success stories, experience and anything else I feel like.
Now, I was doing this just for fun and had no prior resume-writing experience. That’s where its pre-crafted suggestions for the description came to the rescue.
It showed me a bunch of text which seemed to highlight my expertise/skills.
In fact, it even had a “profession” filter. This brought up experiences and skills which were sought-after and could help my resume in that specific profession.
The next steps are just as easy. I get to list my skills, levels of these skills, degrees etc. Finally, I list my objective for the resume. Again, the pre-written texts help me craft an objective that seems more eye-catching than me normally writing text.
It’s not what you say, but also how you say it, isn’t it?
Customizations
So far, I’ve added the text. However, a resume is much more than just the qualifications, don’t you agree?
ResumeGiants lets me change how the resume looks. And I mean the finer details, not just the template.
I can choose a font-style, preferred colours on the resume, size of the font, spacing between the texts and so on.
I’ve not seen this level of control with almost any other resume maker so far. Although, I’d have loved if I could choose from a few more actual “fonts” instead of just the font “styles”.
100s of Pre-designed templates
Obviously, ResumeGiants has a hoard of pre-designed templates.
Once I’m done writing the resume, I get to choose the template which suits my resume best.
What I liked is the fact that the changes are live and “on my resume”. In other words, because I’ve already completed my resume, clicking on these templates instantly changes my resume and shows me what it looks like.
The company does claim that these templates are “proven”. Obviously, I haven’t verified the claim. However, my personal opinion is that the templates are pretty neat. They’re professional, data-rich without being messy and may just work!
I truly didn’t expect this from a 100% free platform. It creates a private link for me to share my resume. Well, that’s normal, what’s special? I had the exact same thoughts.
Well, the resume is synced to your account. Meaning, you can make changes to your resume at any time, and the resume changes live!
You can also turn the public sharing on or off, if required. Obviously, you can also download the resume in a PDF format if you wish to.
Cover letters
Did you know that according to over 45% recruiters, a major reason for resume rejections is the absence of a cover letter?
ResumeGiants does know that. Hence, in addition to resumes, it also lets us create cover letters.
The process is exactly the same. You start by choosing a template for your cover letter. Then, you either fill-in your details or they’re auto-fetched if you’ve filled these in previously.
What’s interesting is its completely customizable, pre-written cover letter.
You only need to change the placeholders (bold text). The entire process takes less than a few minutes at best.
You can also choose your “level” from the right-sidebar.
Depending on your choice, the cover letter changes and you get a different text template.
This too can be downloaded, or shared online.
Unfortunately, the cover letters do not let me customize the font, colours or the spacing on the text. (It’s done when you change the entire template, however, it can’t be customized individually).
Search for jobs
This is another feature that ResumeGiants offers. It helps you find jobs in your area.
You simple enter a job/business or industry and then select your locality (town/city/ country etc.).
In seconds you get a list of all the openings matching your criteria.
These jobs are often posted on third-party websites. You can however always create your resume and then download/share link with the company.
Pricing plans
It’s clearly a practical tool with quite a few benefits. But, how much does ResumeGiants cost?
It’s a $0.00 product. The tool is free. Forever. Without any feature limitations whatsoever.
When I said it’s free, I truly meant it.
There are no restrictions on the number of times you can edit your template, change it, create a new template or basically just use the platform as much as you need to.
What others are saying about ResumeGiants?
Hey, I try to be as fair and unbiased as possible. Towards that end, I got some reviews from third-party platforms for ResumeGiants. Why should my opinion be the only thing you hear, eh?
On TrustPilot, the company has an impressive 4.4 ratings and 100% ratings for “excellent”.
If I’m asked to rate ResumeGiants, I’d rate it 4/5 as well.

So yes, in a nutshell, I’d say ResumeGiants is totally worth your time. However, I’d urge you to not just take my word on this ResumeGiants review but try the platform on your own, it’s free!
