There obviously can be multiple definitions of “real”.

It has been online for over 5 years now. That’s a long time for a service such as this to be alive if it wasn’t legitimate.
Then, the website receives nearly 10 MILLION hits/month. That’s a lot of eyeballs and certainly not something it would receive if it wasn’t a “real” site, would it?
Although, Bedpage authenticity doesn’t entirely rest with Bedpage. Let me explain in the next section.

To answer this question, we need to understand what Bedpage exactly is.
It’s a website where people post ads about products & services they’re offering.
This means, Bedpage in and of itself doesn’t hold a lot of control about the content that’s posted.

- If a listing seems too good to be true, it probably is. You may find listings paying you way above average for certain jobs. Or you may find people offering product/services way lower than the expected price. It’s best to avoid these.
- Be additionally cautious of the “Adult” listings. Unfortunately, escorts, sex workers and other similar listings are some of the most targeted individuals across these platforms.
- Advance payments are a major red flag. If anyone’s asking for payment in advance, be careful. In general, refrain from advance payments of any kind. It’s always best to verify that the offered service is legitimate before paying for it.
- Asking for additional personal details? Run away. If someone contacts you from a listing or is offering a service and insists on additional details which aren’t required for the service, that’s probably not a good idea either.
Is Bedpage legal?
It’s pretty evident that Bedpage is a Backpage alternative, or replacement to be more precise.
It’s also public knowledge that Backpage was seized by the FBI over multiple allegations.

Meaning, you do not have to share any personal data to view the listings.
Similarly, the data asked during signing up too can be fake and doesn’t have to be real.
However, the company isn’t officially “anonymous”. Meaning, to ensure a healthy and legal environment, it does co-operate with the law when required.
This is another point which proves Bedpage is real. No fake/scam service would readily help the law out, Bedpage does.
There’s a dedicated e-mail which can be used by the law enforcement to request user data. Whatever data they do have (either fake or real) is then shared with the law enforcement.
Are your funds safe with Bedpage?
Bedpage is free as long as you use it to view ads. If you wish to publish your own ads, you’d need to pay.
Now, it only accepts Bitcoin payments. That obviously means your financial data is secure and private.
