Here are the 10+ best website design companies for small business in 2024. If you need a website, you needn’t look further.
Now, just because you own a “small business” doesn’t mean you’re loaded. Keeping that in mind, I’ve made sure the pricing-range on this list fits everyone.
I’ve even listed a company that charges $0.00 (yes, they’re free) for building your website.
Right next to each company’s name, you’d see the “minimum price” they work with. The number of $ signs is the no. of 0’s they start at. E.g. A company marked with $$$$ will only accept $1,000+ orders while a $$$$$ site would require $10,000 minimum.’
While most of these are “companies” and “agencies”, I’ve also listed a few individual designers. They’ve their own benefits. For starters, they’re comparatively cheaper. They also pay more attention to your work as their workload is generally lighter than companies. Finally, there’s a personal connection you may get while with a company you’re a “client”.
Do note that I’m not affiliated with any of these companies. This means, I’ve not been paid in any way or mode to list any of these options here. This also means this list is unbiased and completely neutral.

How to choose the best website design companies for small business?
I’ve listed over 15 best website design companies for small businesses. So, how do you choose the one that fits you best? Well, here’s a checklist you can follow:
- Project type: Decide what type of project yours is. Do you want a simple one-page website? Maybe a blog? Or maybe a custom web-app?
- Pricing: I’ve listed very expensive, average budget, low budget and even free web design companies for small businesses on this list. Pick the one that suits you best.
- Current portfolio: On this list, I’ve mentioned (when available) the current client-base and previous projects each of these companies have worked on. That should help you understand their potential and fit for you.
- Location: Some of you may only want “physically-accessible” teams. Some of the companies mentioned below even meet you over coffee.
- Experience: Talking purely in numbers, I’ve mentioned how long each of these have been in the industry.
- Support: When choosing your company, make sure you discuss after-sale support promptly. Check how long you’ll be getting free support after completion and what are the terms for paid support (if any).
- SEO (optional): Depending on your skill-set, you may or may not prioritize a company that helps you with SEO vs. one which doesn’t.
- Specific language /CMS: If you’ve got special preferences for coding languages or CMS (e.g. WordPress) make sure the company works with the language.
- Revisions: While discussing terms, verify the number of free and/or paid revisions you get on your project.
- Other technicalities: Some of you may require site backups, additional security and other add-ons. Check if your company offers them. If not, check if they can provide a third-party solution for these.
