Most of the companies on this list have been included here after my personal experience with them! So, it’s not just “heresy” or “opinion” speaking.
For each of these, I’ve mentioned the payment policies, refund policies, freebies you get, support review, server locations and other major aspects we all pay attention to when choosing a server.
At the bottom, you’ll even find a FAQ. I urge you to not ignore it.
Let’s get started then?

What to expect in this best Bitcoin web hosting guide?
I’m discussing this here so you don’t retain any false expectations or wrong ideas of what you’ll get here.
This article will certainly help you find the web hosting that accepts Bitcoin.
This article will NOT necessarily include completely anonymous, offshore hosting companies.
Now, some of these companies may still be anonymous. However, “anonymity” isn’t the priority here, “Bitcoin acceptance” is.
In other words, the companies may or may not comply to all laws, require documentation and “true” information but each one of these will let you buy web hosting with Bitcoin.
1. Hostinger
Website: https://www.hostinger.in/
There are two simple reasons which make Hostinger one of the best web hosting companies that accept BTC.
First, it’s arguably the cheapest quality host out there. Plans start from about as low as $1.00/month!
And second, it hosts servers from 7 different regions. You get to choose your location depending on where your audience is from and other factors.
As for other freebies, the free domain for starters is available. Do note that it’s not available on the cheapest plan but is sure attached to all other plans. You get to choose from over a dozen different TLDs.
The most expensive plan also offers free daily backups! You never lose your data even if the server goes down or you mess something up.
Free SSL certificates are included with each plan. E-mail accounts too are free, how many? That depends on the exact plan you’re going with.
There’s even a website builder that you get for free. You can build your website in minutes, without writing a single line of code. It’s all drag & drop.
Already own a website? They offer absolutely free migrations as well.
I’ve personally used Hostinger and I love it. In fact, this is the server I used for my step-by-step personal blog creation guide!
Finally, for payments, you can use not just Bitcoin but also Litecoin or Ethereum. The traditional payment modes include cards, PayPal, online wallets (Paytm/UPI), Netbanking etc.
Pros:
- BTC + LTC + ETH accepted
- Traditional payment modes are available as well
- Free domains (multiple TLDs)
- Free SSL certificates
- Free website builder
- Free migrations
- Auto-backups (on some plans)
- 7 different server locations
Cons:
- No “live chat” (24X7 support still available via e-mail)
- No free CDNs
2. Namecheap
Website: https://www.namecheap.com/
Namecheap (review) is the second-best web hosting that accepts BTC. Again, I’ve used it personally for a long time! This is the BTC hosting company I used for my guide on how to create an anonymous blog!
Because it’s on this list, it obviously accepts payments via Bitcoin. As is probably evident, the company also lets you buy domain with Bitcoin.
You can also pay using cards and PayPal but I doubt any of you are here for that.
As far as “server quality” goes, it’s pretty impressive. Probably “the” most impressive in terms of speed, uptime, support and everything else.
One of Namecheap’s prime USPs is its “fixed price renewals”. They don’t lure you in with a cheap plan only to increase it 10x when you renew it the following year.
They even offer a “free trial” (not exactly). So, there’s a 30-day moneyback guarantee. I do believe a month is a pretty decent “try it out” time to decide if you like or don’t like the servers, don’t you agree?
Do note that it offers two Bitcoin payment modes. You only get your refund if you paid using BitPay. Using the BTCPay processor for payments would render you ineligible for refunds.
The free domains are sure available but there’s a twist. It doesn’t offer .com or other top-level TLDs. Rather, .website, .store, .online and a few other newer TLDs are what you can opt for.
There’s free SSL as well as free CDN on all the plans. The SSL makes sure you rank better, do not trigger warnings and stay safe from hackers. The CDN makes sure your website loads fast regardless of your audience location.
A free website builder too is included with all plans. Completely drag & drop. The company even migrates your website for free if you’re currently hosted somewhere else.
As for server locations, it lets us choose from US/UK or EU servers. Automatic backups too are included though not with the cheapest plan.
They offer 24X7 support via their live chat as well. It’s available even for non-registered customers.
Shared server prices start at a low $1.58/month.
Pros:
- 3 server locations
- Free SSL
- Free CDN
- 24X7 live-chat
- Free migrations
- Free domain
- 30-day refund policy
Cons:
- No free top-level TLDs.
3. Cherry Servers
Website: https://www.cherryservers.com/
Cherry Servers does have a few limitations. For starters, it doesn’t provide shared servers. So, it’ll only be useful to you if you’re looking for VPS or Dedicated servers.
Don’t expect many (actually, any) freebies. There’s no free SSL, CDN or even domains.
There’s no free backup either. Backups cost about an extra 105 EUR/month. The company is exclusively and solely for “servers”.
There does exist a live-chat though at all times. No registration is required to talk to them if you’ve got questions. Why have I listed it on this list then? Because it’s a web hosting that accepts Bitcoin and the servers are top-notch.
It offers dozens of plans you can choose from. Most of them are fully customizable.
Fortunately, the company does offer two different server locations to choose from. You can either opt for Lithuania or Netherlands as your datacenter.
Another good news is, it does allow refunds even on Bitcoin payments. There’s a pretty generous 14-day moneyback guarantee
Pros:
- Bitcoin payments accepted
- 14-day refunds
- 2 server locations
Cons:
- No freebies (SSL/CDN/backups or domains)
4. Shinjiru
Website: https://www.shinjiru.com
I mentioned earlier that some options on this list may be completely and fully anonymous, didn’t I? Shinjiru is that option!
It’s one of the most anonymous, anti-censorship, privacy-oriented companies which lets you buy web hosting with Bitcoin.
It doesn’t ask for any personal details. Doesn’t place many restrictions on what you can or can’t upload either!
As for server locations,it offers as many as 8 different offshore locations to choose from! You can pick from Hong Kong, Lithuania, Singapore, Russia, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Luxemburg and Holland!
There’s a 30-day refund policy that also extends for Bitcoin payments.
My only disappointment is you don’t get any of the freebies. The SSL and CDN need to be installed manually and aren’t included for free (they can be obtained for free independently anyway).
A live chat does exist, however, for anonymity reasons, they can only be contacted Wickr or Skype!
Pros:
- 8 server locations
- Extremely anonymity and privacy-centric
- Skype support
- 30-day refunds
Cons:
- Live-chat isn’t possible without Wickr/Skype.
5. Abelohost
Website: https://abelohost.com/
Abelohost is another company that pops up on any list of web hosting that accepts Bitcoin. Alike Shinjiru, Abelohost’s prime focus too is user anonymity and privacy.
It offers offshore servers from the Netherlands. No other server locations are available. Both shared and VPS plans are available.
Its plans start at EUR 5.99./month. All the plans include a free SSL as well as a dedicated IP . Free e-mail accounts too are made available.
Unfortunately, no CDN or free domains are available. No free automatic backups are provided either.
A live-chat feature sure is available but it isn’t 24X7. It’s only available during working hours.
You’re here for BTC hosting companies and that’s where it’s impressive. It accepts not just Bitcoin, but nearly every other altcoin out there. Obviously, the traditional (and even non-traditional payment modes such as AliPay and WeChat Pay) payment modes are available as well.
If you look at its AUP (Acceptable Use Policy), you’ll see it’s quite liberal and allows a lot of content that most other servers do not.
Another impressive aspect is, it offers a free dedicated IP on all its plans!
Finally, there’s a 30-day moneyback guarantee as well as free migration as well.
Pros:
- BTC+ alts accepted
- 30 day refund policy
- Free migration
- Privacy-centric
- Free SSL
- Dedicated IP
Cons:
- No free domains
- Live-chat isn’t 24X7.
6. HostSailor
Website: https://hostsailor.com/
You need web hosting that accepts Bitcoin? Well, HostSailor accepts Bitcoin and about 50 other altcoins! You can literally pay with almost everything that’s ever invented.
Maybe you’re looking for cheap Bitcoin hosting? How about plans that start as low as $0.95/month?
Maybe you need location choices? It lets you choose either from Netherlands or Romania.
SSL certificates are included with all the plans as well! Even unlimited e-mail accounts and website builders are free, even on the cheapest plan!
There’s even a 14-day refund policy! The free domain is the only thing that’s missing, but hey, the plans are dirt-cheap so that makes up for it.
Finally, a live chat exists but it’s only functional during the working hours. The team has offices in Dubai and that’s the time zone they follow.
Pros:
- Dirt-cheap prices
- Free SSL
- 14-day refunds
- BTC+ many other altcoins accepted
- 2 server locations
Cons:
- Live-chat isn’t 24X7.
7. HosterBox
Website: https://hosterbox.com/
I’ll be honest, HosterBox isn’t as established, well-reputed or impressive as Namecheap or Hostinger.
But, if you simply need to buy web hosting with Bitcoin, it won’t fail you.
You can buy everything, including shared, VPS and Dedicated servers using Bitcoin on HosterBox.
The company does offer free migrations. They’ll shift your website from other providers for free.
Every plan also includes free SSL certificates. What’s unique is it offers free domains for life! No other company on this list offers that.
The twist is, you get newer TLDs on its cheaper plans. .com and other premium TLDs are only available with its more expensive plans.
Even backups are free! It retains 30-day backups without any additional cost for you.
For support, there’s a 24X7 live-chat that’s available, even for non-registered users. Payments of course are accepted via Bitcoin.
Pros:
- Free SSL
- Free 30-day backup retention
- Free domains
- 24X7 live-chat
Cons:
- No free top TLDs on cheaper plans
8. WaveLayer
Website: https://www.wavelayer.com/
Another web hosting that accepts Bitcoin. It’s not for you if you’re looking for shared servers. Only VPS and Dedicated servers are available.
One of its primary selling points is its server locations. It lets you choose from over 20 different server locations! USA, Canada, India, China, Malaysia, UK, Finland are just some of the available locations.
Both managed and unmanaged options can be opted for when making the purchase. Forget all the freebies. Absolutely nothing is available. You don’t get a free domain/ SSL/CDN , migrations or even backups (sad, I know).
As for support, a live-chat feature sure exists. However, in my personal experience, it’s just a marketing gimmick. The team almost never responds. The only actual way to get in touch with the team seems to be via email.
Payments aren’t limited just to Bitcoin, you can use LTC, ETH, DASH, DOGE and just about every other altcoin.
Unfortunately, absolutely no refunds are possible. Not just for Bitcoin payments but for any other mode as well, no refunds, period.
Pros:
- 20+ server locations
- BTC+ dozens of other altcoins accepted
Cons:
- Live-chat has no representatives available.
9. BitLaunch
Website: https://bitlaunch.io/
BitLaunch is probably the most unique Bitcoin hosting site on this list. As the name suggests, it lets you launch your Bitcoin VPS.
However, what’s unique is, it actually lets you buy VPS servers from other third parties. Those third parties generally do not accept Bitcoin. However, they’re the leaders in the industry.
Hence, BitLaunch has an automated interface that acts as a mediator and facilitates Bitcoin VPS purchases from those third parties.
Obviously, you can also purchase BitLaunch’s own VPS servers!
For now, apart from its own servers, BitLaunch allows buying VPS servers from Digital Ocean, Vultr and Linode.
Because multiple companies are available, obviously, multiple server locations are available. Nearly 30 different server regions can be selected from.
As for freebies, there aren’t many. It largely depends on the exact company you’re going with.
Obviously, payments via Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies are accepted. Additionally, LTC and ETH too can be used to make payments.
Pros:
- 4 different companies are available
- 30+ server regions
- BTC + ETH + LTC accepted
- 24X7 live-chat
Cons:
- No shared servers available.
FAQ
By now you must have found the best web hosting that accepts Bitcoin you’re going with, right?
Would you wait a few more seconds? I’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions you may (or may not) have.
Even if you’re an expert, I’m confident these will offer at least some insight that you may find useful.
#1. Am I completely anonymous if I buy web hosting with Bitcoin?
No, you aren’t. Bitcoin “IS NOT ANONYMOUS”. It simply has the architecture to use it anonymously, but your anonymity largely depends on how you acquired/use the coins.
You’re only anonymous with BTC if you used a non-traceable/ non-document requiring payment mode when buying the funds.
E.g. if you used your cards to pay for your BTC, the BTC payment to these hosting companies can be traced to your card.
#2. Is it illegal to use a web hosting that accepts Bitcoin?
Not at all. Bitcoin is just a payment mode. Just because a company accepts Bitcoin doesn’t make it illegal.
Do note that there are a few exceptions. This may be illegal for you if Bitcoin is completely and strictly banned in your country. This will also be illegal if you host illegal content on your server. In this case, BTC is irrelevant, your act of uploading illegal content is what makes it illegal.
#3. Do I get refunds on Bitcoin payments?
This is important because most hosting companies do not offer refunds if you pay using Bitcoins.
However, because this list only includes the best web hosting that accepts Bitcoin, most of these do. I’ve mentioned the refund policies for almost all the cases.
However, if you’re reading this piece after November 2022, I suggest you contact support and confirm this. Due to BTC’s volatility, the refund policies are often changed.
#4. Are there any technical differences between Bitcoin hosting and normal hosting?
No. In most cases, you wouldn’t find any technical differences at all. It’s only used as a mode of payment.
However, in rare cases, some companies do offer added protection and locations for their Bitcoin hosting plans.
#5. Do I need to renew the domains I get for free?
Obviously. Almost every company (except HosterBox) listed above only offers domains for free for the first year. After the time expires, you must pay for your domain.
#6. Should I consider free SSL/CDN when choosing the best Bitcoin hosting company?
No. Even when a company doesn’t offer free SSL/CDN, you can install these for free. Sure, that requires a bit of manual work. However, both these features are provided for free by many companies.
You can use Cloudflare to solve both your SSL and CDN needs for free.
Final verdict- Which is the best Bitcoin web hosting company?
I’ll keep it brief.
Go with Hostinger if you need the cheapest server you can buy with Bitcoin, without compromising quality.
Namecheap offers equal if not better servers than Hostinger.
The other options are equally impressive with maybe a few flaws here and there. Your final decision would obviously depend on your budget, target audience and exact requirements.
The point being, you can’t go wrong with any of the options mentioned above when searching for the best web hosting that accepts Bitcoin.
