While picking the best VPN services for streaming, I had to pay special attention to the “streamer-needs”. Yes, they do differ significantly from what I look for in a normal VPN.

For starters, I had to make sure that all of these VPNs being included here provide acceptable speeds. It’s normal for VPNs to slow your connection down (not willingly) in most cases.

I also had to be sure of selecting only those VPNs which have the least effect on speed. Only a fast VPN could offer buffer-free streaming experience.

And finally, you only get to access a small part of Netflix (and most other streaming services). A lot of content is geo-locked and only available to people from specific countries. This is largely due to the streaming platform’s copyright agreements with the content creators. Streaming companies ban VPNs to prevent access to those restricted content.

For starters, its chat-bot lists a number of Streaming services it easily unblocks. Well the list isn’t all-inclusive.

 

We tried using Netflix with NordVPN and the VPN did deliver!

Almost all other streaming services (including some personally-owned platforms) were easily unblocked when we tried the VPN. The VPN also tells you the exact specialized streaming servers you need to connect to in order to stream.

It offers a servers from 94 countries and hence that’s as many countries as you can stream content from! It’s just second in line after NordVPN and boasts 3,000+ servers. I’ve personally confirmed its ability to get its IPs unblocked, and/or offer multiple other server choices for streaming.

Additionally, it also offers split-tunnelling, which allows you to specify which apps/websites use the VPN and which don’t. In other words, you can add apps such as Netflix, Hulu, BBC, or a specific browser for split tunnelling.

In our personal experience, it does unblock all the sites I tried to access (Netflix and BBC). Yet it wasn’t exactly the “fastest” but sure offered impressive speeds.

Wrapping this piece on the best VPN services for streaming, I have but only a few words. Let’s start with the fact that this article is completely subject to change.

Streaming platforms have waged a war against VPN companies. Hence no VPN is “guaranteed” to always work with a streaming platform. However, most of the ones listed above only suffer temporary bans and revive themselves quickly.

Secondly, try connecting to different servers within the same country while accessing a streaming platform if the first choice doesn’t work.

And not that using a VPN to access streaming services is completely legal. Your accounts too are mostly safe without any major repercussions.
