5 Things to Look for in an Anonymous Crypto Exchanges without KYC
I’m sure you’re aware of the benefits, but, what factors to look for in a no KYC crypto exchange?
Well, here’s a checklist that I’ve curated over the years:
- No KYC: This of course is the first factor (duh). I ensure this by mostly picking exchanges that either do not require registration altogether, or allow anonymous signups AND withdrawals.
- Jurisdiction: The laws that govern an exchange also govern your privacy and anonymity. As a result, I tend to avoid any nations that are a part of the Five-Eye/ 9 Eye/ 14 Eye or any such alliance.
- Private keys: “Not your keys not your crypto”, eh? I prioritize non-custodial crypto exchange without KYC which do not hold keys to my Cryptocurrencies.
- Supported Cryptocurrencies: It’s always a good idea to go with exchanges that support more coins to be exchanged.
- Fees: Of course, the fee I’ll be paying for each exchange is taken into account as well.
- Min./Max. limits: Exchanges that do not have very high minimum requirement or very low maximum limits are good choices.
That’s about it. Before we start, here’s a brief idea of the different types of KYC-free crypto exchanges I’ve listed here.
3 Different Types of Exchanges
On this list of best anonymous crypto exchanges, I’ve primarily listed 3 different types of exchanges:
- Fully-fledged exchanges: These exchanges are identical to Binance. They have a live market ticker and let you spot trade (among other modes). They would often require anonymous registrations.
- P2P: These exchanges are like eBay for Cryptocurrencies. They help connect a buyer and a seller, and act as an escrow themselves. Much like LocalBitcoins, but without KYC. Do note that you should be extra careful and cautious while picking your trade partners. Look at their history, total exchange and other factors to establish their legitimacy.
- Coin swaps: These are the simplest and most effective non KYC crypto exchanges. In most cases, you do not need to register. Simply enter the coin you’d like to exchange and the coin you’d like to receive, plus the address. Done. Your coins are swapped and sent to you instantly.
Let’s get you started then?
1. Crypton Exchange
Website: https://crp.is/
- Registration: No-KYC
- Coins supported: 6+
- Minimum/maximum limits: None
- Fees: 0,1%
Crypton Exchange is a multifunctional crypto exchange that offers the advantages of an advanced mechanism for matching trading pairs, as well as the advantages of the first digital offshore. All mechanisms and processes of work are carried out without delay.
The exchange operates in real-time, that is, it provides access to data around the clock. At the same time, registration does not require any KYC verification.
Crypton Exchange stands out favorably among competitors and other similar cryptocurrency exchanges in that it is connected to the decentralized Utopia P2P ecosystem. Such a basis protects the exchange from blockages and prohibitions by commercial organizations and government agencies. In cases of blocking the exchange’s domain, it will continue to exist based on the ecosystem.
Advantages of Crypton Exchange:
- Anonymous registration
- Supported by the decentralized Utopia P2P ecosystem
- Low fees
- Digital offshore
- Blockchain technology
- Unlimited withdrawal of funds
- Unlimited access around the world
- Bypassing blocks
Crypton Exchange provides a secure and convenient way to buy, sell, exchange, or withdraw cryptocurrencies such as USDT, DAI, Monero, and Bitcoin. In addition, the project has its coins: Crypton (a privacy coin and the main payment unit of the Utopia P2P ecosystem), as well as UUSD (a stable Utopia coin supported by the US dollar).
2. CoinEx
Website: https://www.coinex.com/
- Registration: Required (anonymous)
- Coins supported: 650+
- Exchange modes: Spot
- Minimum deposit: Depends on multiple factors
- Maximum exchange: Depends on multiple factors
- Fees: Around 0.16%-0.08%
- Jurisdiction: United States of America
- Private keys: Custodial
CoinEx does need you to register, that shouldn’t put you off as the registration is completely anonymous. Documents aren’t demanded and you can simply sign up using an anonymous e-mail ID. Once signed up, you can use it to buy/sell nearly 700 Cryptocurrencies.
The reason it’s listed at the top of this list is it’s a full-fledged spot exchange. It’s automated, instant and fast. There of course is a minimum amount each trade must be worth before it’s executed. Similarly, there’s a maximum withdrawal limit as well. The withdrawal limit, as is expected, depends on your optional KYC verification. It’s not mandatory but verifying your phone number gives you $10,000/day withdrawal and identity verification gives you $1 million withdrawal in 24 hours.
The fee is dependent on your CET (CoinEx token) holdings. The only downer personally for me is that it’s operated out of the United States. This is why, despite it being an anonymous Binance alternative, I’ll ask you to use a VPN while using CoinEx.
3. Bitget
Website: https://www.bitget.com/
- Registration: Required, anonymous
- Coins supported: 500+
- Exchange mode: Spot and P2P
- Fees: 0.1%-0.8%
- Jurisdiction: Seychelles
- Private keys: Custodial
Bitget is another best no KYC crypto exchange because it too is a fully-fledged exchange that facilitates spot as well as P2P trades.
Hundreds of coins are available on the exchange. The spot trading fee is 0.1% for both makers and takers. However, if you hold enough BGB coin, it’s reduced by 20% to 0.08%.
Registration is required but is fortunately anonymous. The withdrawal fee varies for each coin and network. It’s 0.0005BTC for Bitcoin.
Similarly, the minimum withdrawal too varies for each coin. Again, it’s 0.008BTC for Bitcoin.
It also has a P2P exchange that’s 100% free to use. You can buy/sell Crypto using fiat modes on the P2P mode.
You do not hold keys to your funds. The company operates out of Seychelles, one of the best locations for Crypto, wouldn’t you agree?
You can opt for KYC if you’d like to increase your withdrawal limits, but it’s not mandatory.
4. Bisq
Website: https://bisq.network/
- Registration: Not required
- Coins supported: Bitcoin
- Exchange mode: P2P
- Fees: 0.1%-0.7%
- Minimum deposit: Depends on multiple factors
- Maximum exchange: Depends on multiple factors
- Jurisdiction: None, it’s hosted on each user’s system.
- Private keys: Non-custodial
Bisq markets itself heavily as a non KYC crypto exchange, which is 100% on point. It doesn’t require any identification from you whatsoever.
It’s basically a P2P exchange, similar to how LocalBitcoins or LocalCryptos were. Any user can buy/sell Cryptocurrencies on the platform.
However, it differs from all other non-KYC exchanges on this list. That’s primarily because to use it, you must download Bisq. This actually is a massive privacy feature and lets Bisq be truly decentralized.
Just like you, every other user runs their own network of Bisq and it’s routed over Tor. That means it doesn’t get access to your IP address. Even if it did, it doesn’t store logs. Of course, no registration of any kind is required either.
Bisq never gets access to your funds. Your money stays in a 2 of 2 multisig wallet.
Moreover, no data is sent to its central servers. Everything is stored on your disk! On top of that, it’s open-source.
The fees is 0.1% for makers and 0.7% for takers. The minimum/maximum limits depend on the trader and offer, sometimes also on the payment mode.
There’s no limit on the type of payment you use. As long as it’s a mode both parties agree on, it can be used for payments.
5. HodlHodl
Website: https://hodlhodl.com/
- Registration: Required but anonymous
- Coins supported: Bitcoin
- Exchange mode: P2P
- Fees: Custom (user-set)
- Minimum deposit: 0.00025BTC
- Jurisdiction: Latvia
- Private keys: Non-custodial
Creative with the name, wouldn’t you agree?
Again, an anonymous Crypto exchange that doesn’t require KYC or identity verification. Yes, it’s P2P as well.
It only supports buying/selling Bitcoins. You can however choose your payment currency in fiat. Being P2P, you’re required to pay the other party using traditional (fiat) modes.
Being P2P, it supports hundreds of modes to make your payments to the other party.
It’s non-custodial as well. This offers you the peace of mind that majority of the centralized exchanges take away from you.
The fee is 0.6%/transaction. However, this fee is smartly divided equally between both the involved parties. Meaning, each party (you) only pay 0.3%/transaction. This I must say is one of the lowest fee you’ll see in the industry.
You do get to choose from “low/medium/high” fee. You can even set a custom fee. In this case, out of the two parties, the lower fee is applied.
It may be P2P but it does have a minimum limit. Trades below 0.00025 BTC can not be placed.
As for jurisdiction, the company seems to be based out of Latvia. “Seems to be”? Well, I couldn’t verify the physical office with conclusive evidence.
Either way, it’s 7+ years old and has 100K+ registered users so it’s probably not a scam.
6. SideShift
Website: https://sideshift.ai/
- Registration: Not required
- Coins supported: 75+
- Exchange modes: Variable and Fixed
- Fees: Dynamic
- Minimum deposit: $50.000
- Maximum exchange: $4000.00
- Jurisdiction: Hong Kong
- Private keys: Non-custodial
SideShift is not just a Crypto exchange without KYC but it doesn’t even require registration. You heard that right, no signing up whatsoever! That clearly makes it extremely anonymous, doesn’t it?
You simply land on the site, choose the Crypto you’d like to exchange and then choose the new Crypto you’d like to receive for your Cryptocurrency.
The interface is extremely simple and easy to use.
In total, over 75 Cryptocurrencies can be exchanged for one another. And no, it doesn’t allow buying Cryptocurrencies via fiat if you don’t already have Cryptocurrencies.
There are two modes you can use, the “variable” mode and the “fixed” mode. If you use the variable mode, you get the funds based on their market price after you make a deposit.
The price for your coins in the variable mode is locked as soon as your deposit is received by the platform.
In the fixed mode, the price is fixed as soon as you initiate a shift (exchange). Yes, even before you make a deposit. It’s locked in the for next 15 minutes and doesn’t change even if the market price changes.
The minimum/maximum amounts depends on the Crypto you’re sending. It’s always displayed before you make your deposit. The minimum is about $50.00 and the maximum is around $4000.00 for most coins.
The fees too depends on the two coins you’ve chosen to send and receive as well as the market conditions at any given time.
The company is based out of Hong Kong, which is still a better option than U.S or the U.K.
Finally, it’s non-custodial and doesn’t have direct access to your funds.
7. FixedFloat
Website: https://fixedfloat.com
- Registration: Not required
- Coins supported: 300+
- Exchange modes: Fixed and floating
- Minimum/maximum limits: None
- Fees: 0.5%-1%
- Private keys: Non-custodial
As the name suggests, the company offers fixed and floating coin exchanges. If you select “fixed” mode, you pay 1% + network fee for the swap. But the benefit you get is, you get to lock in the market price before you make a deposit.
The “floating” mode requires only a 0.5% fee + network fee, but then, the amount you receive will depends on the market price after you make your deposit.
Obviously, absolutely no registration, sign up or documentation is required. It’s extremely accommodating with the minimum/maximum limits as well. You can exchange as low as $6.00 and as high as $100,000! (This may change depending on market conditions).
It supports over 300 Cryptocurrencies that can be exchanged with one another. It’s of course non-custodial.
8. Simpleswap
Website: https://simpleswap.io/
- Registration: Optional
- Coins supported: 500+
- Exchange modes: Fixed and floating
- Minimum/maximum limits: None
- Fees: Dynamic
- Jurisdiction: Marshal Islands
- Private keys: Non-custodial
The tagline here reads “Free from sign-up, limits, complications”. That’s exactly what’s offered.
Of course, registration isn’t required. But more interestingly, there are absolutely no limits whatsoever. You can mix any amount, no matter how small, as long as it covers the network transaction fee.
It’s a simple coin swap and not exactly a full-fledged exchange. But hey, it does let you buy Bitcoin no KYC, that’s exactly what you looking for, aren’t you?
You can optionally add an anonymous e-mail ID as well as a refund address. These can be used to receive notifications about the transaction and refunds.
It too has a floating, as well as fixed mode. Again, the floating mode fixes the amount you receive “after” you deposit. The fixed mode shows you the amount you’ll get before your deposit and it’s locked for 20 minutes.
The exchange supports over 500 coins.
It does have a “buy” feature. Meaning, even if you don’t have any Crypto to start with, you can buy using your VISA/Mastercards. Of course, this is facilitated via a third-party and is not exactly an option to buy Crypto no KYC.
It does have an optional registration process. Registering allows you to be eligible for cashbacks as a loyalty bonus.
The fee depends on the market price, coin-pair and many other factors. The amount that’s displayed to you before a transaction includes the fee so you always know how much you’re paying.
Yes, it’s non-custodial as well.
9. Stealth Ex
Website: https://stealthex.io/
- Registration: Not required
- Coins supported: 500+
- Exchange modes: Single swap
- Minimum/maximum limits: None
- Fees: Dynamic
- Jurisdiction: Grand Cayman
- Private keys: Non-custodial
The name says a lot about its modus operandi, doesn’t it? Yes, stealth is its first priority. Hence, you do not have to register or submit documents to use this anonymous Crypto exchange.
Again, it’s a coin-swap/instant exchange and not a spot trading exchange. Currently seems to support over 500 coins.
Unlike other no-KYC crypto exchanges we’ve discussed above, this one doesn’t offer the floating/fixed mode choices. There’s just one mode.
The fee again is dynamic and is based on market conditions + the coin pair. It does allow buying crypto with fiat via Mercuryo, but obviously that’s suicide for your anonymity.
The company is headquartered in the Grand Cayman, a very impressive choice indeed.
No minimum limits exist as long as the network fee is covered. They do not hold keys to your funds either.
Final words- which are the best anonymous crypto exchanges?
The absolute “best” non KYC crypto exchange would depend on your personal preferences. You may prefer spot/P2P or swaps, then there’s the fee and exact Crypto you’re trying to exchange.
However, I’d say CoinEx, HodlHodl and SideShift are the best in their respective modes of anonymous crypto exchanges.
But hey, that’s just my opinion. Go give these a try and then I’d love to hear about your experiences with these buy Bitcoin no KYC exchanges.
